An interview is a kind of relationship, and relationships proceed forward based on trust. Our interviewing methods and projective techniques not only develop trust in study participants, but heighten the potential for insights and breakthroughs.

We know various ways to build relationships with study participants, such as visiting them multiple times at different points in their experience curve. Our techniques, such as cartooning, journaling, or mind mapping, can instill trust while learning about the participants' point of view.
