STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT: Exceptional Workers Study
A study designed by ddeasy inc explored the intersection between exceptional workers and the physical environment. Using a combination of photography, depth interviews and ethnography, researcher Dorothy Deasy studied key work behaviors and organizational styles to learn what works and doesn’t work in the work place today.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT: Award-Winning Product Design
ddeasy inc partnered with a furniture company on the testing of an office systems product that called into question cubicles as the only solution for open office plans. Working closely with the designer's innovations in the concept of the open office, Dorothy Deasy served as researcher for the product development team and helped usher the designer’s vision from concept to market introduction. The product won “Best of Competition” at NeoCon (the annual office furniture trade show) the year it was introduced.

USER EXPERIENCE: Email and Instant Messaging
Dorothy Deasy of ddeasy inc conducted a series of international focus groups to learn the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors among heavy users of existing services. The results of the study were used by client to inform future upgrades to service.

EMPATHIC OBSERVATION: diabetes meter R&D
Conducted in-home observation and depth interviews with people who cope with diabetes to better understand their blood testing habits, needs and attitudes. The information was used by R&D to refine blood glucose meter offerings. Interviewing was conducted over several months, with each respondent being visited three times to build rapport and better understand their issues over time.
