Dorothy Deasy
Dorothy Deasy brings to her consulting and research work 25 years of experience in marketing research and ten years in design research. Her leadership on qualitative projects includes usage and attitude studies, discrete choice analysis and conjoint. She has been on research teams for award-winning products and has contributed to branding, marketing and communications strategy for both large and small companies.

Dorothy Deasy uses a consultative approach to marketing and design research. This means delivering not only what clients ask for, but also seeking out what they need. Dorothy's moderating skills extend beyond data collection to helping clients understand and apply learning to the development of products and services. Additional consulting services such as workshops or facilitated team meetings can be custom-designed to meet specified needs.

In 2003, Dorothy Deasy launched the independent consulting firm ddeasy inc in Portland, Oregon. She has published in the textbook Design Research: Methods and Perspectives, The MIT Press, 2003.

James Walz
James has been with ddeasy inc as Business Manager and Research Associate since 2004. Previously a Web Marketing Manager for Xerox Corporation, James helps clients and other researchers sort through evolving knowledge to discover how a audience thinks. He holds a B.A. in English Literature from Roosevelt University in Chicago.
